Questions? … The Moon: If we take the proposition that someone is based up there, why might the American public or the world not be aware of it?

(STARpod.org) — Since I was a youngster, I have had a fascination with our moon. Even though I grew up during the Apollo Program, I find it hard to imagine what a “heady” time it was. But it looked like we — the human race — were finally heading into outer space to … perhaps fulfill our destiny? Humans heading to and reaching the moon, then perhaps other planets in our solar system, seemed to be the magnificent promise.
On July 20, 1969, American astronauts touched down on the moon and at that moment, the sky seemed to be the limit on what we could achieve if we put our collective mind to it. Remember, only 66 years had passed since our first tentative steps into the air by the Wright Brothers. That first flimsy airplane had quickly morphed into a space craft touching down on another world! How could anyone doubt just what we might be capable of? And yet suddenly, after only a half-dozen missions to the moon, the plug was pulled. Today it is unbelievable, but nevertheless, at the time NASA claimed they ended the ambitious program because the American people had “lost interest” in lunar exploration!
Huh? What had really happened?
Since the manned lunar program had ceased, rumors swirled in some circles that “we” had been told by certain entities to vacate the moon. In 1976, a book was published by science writer George H. Leonard entitled Somebody Else Is on the Moon. Leonard’s book showed NASA photographs which seemed to show artificial structures on the lunar surface — not ours, and some truly gigantic. That book seemed to disappear almost as soon as it was available, but rumors persisted that another presence inhabited the moon. Also, we mustn’t forget that there were mysteries about the moon that were known by the public, providing they had paid attention. For example, the discovery of what became known as the Genesis Rock estimated at about 5 billion years of age. And the lunar soil that the rock lay in was estimated to be a billion years older than the rock! Whew! What goes on here?
In 1991, I began my broadcasting career with the program “UFOs Tonite!” on the Cable Radio Network.
The show ran for six years, during which we covered topics ranging from UFOs to lunar mysteries and just about everything in between. I interviewed guests who ranged from Academy Award-winning film producers to Assistant Secretaries of Defense and U. S. Congressmen. Early on, I hosted a guest who discussed lunar mysteries. Little did I know then that this would take me on a journey that still has not been completed.

About a week after this show, I was contacted at UFO Magazine by a lunar researcher named Jim Sylvan. We discussed George H. Leonard’s book, and later he sent me a package of lunar photographs that Leonard had discovered from his contacts inside NASA. Shortly thereafter I located a copy of the book, but the photographs Sylvan had sent me were much clearer than what was in my used paperback. To say I was hooked is an understatement, because some of those photographs were breathtaking. Even more astounding was the fact that the photos all originated from NASA. In other words, these were official NASA photos.
I began my lunar investigations and would periodically do shows and interviews geared toward these lunar mysteries. By the time November of 1995 rolled around, when I interviewed a petrochemical engineer named Vito Saccheri, lunar mysteries were never to be the same for me again.
Saccheri resided in Houston, Texas, and in 1979 he was working for a company there. One of his employer’s clients was an oil company owned by and located in Venezuela. This company sent one of their employees, an American named Lester Howell, up to Houston on company business, and the company directed Saccheri to take care of Howell while he was in town. Saccheri soon learned that what his new friend really wanted was to head over to NASA to see their up-close moon photos. When first telling Saccheri about his wish, Howell pulled out a copy of George Leonard’s book. Handing it to Saccheri, Howell asked him to take it home that evening and read it! Saccheri’s life suddenly took an unexpected U-turn. During the interview, he went on to recount his unbelievable three-week odyssey courtesy of NASA. Finally, after a series of both serious and comedic events, they got in to see some of these lunar pictures. As Saccheri describes it, his odyssey was no longer fun and games when he understood just what he was looking at. In his mind, at least, there was no mistaking it: Somebody WAS on the Moon.
If we take the proposition that someone is based up there, why might the American public or the world not be aware of it? I assume we would not be told for the same reasons the U.S. Government will not acknowledge the reality of UFOs. I must assume that the “powers that be” simply do not wish to deal with the ramifications, once the public becomes openly aware of lunar or UFO facts and questions.
Disclosure? Not in this lifetime.
